* A Note on iPod and MP3 Compatibility

If you copy your PowerNap to an MP3 or iPod music player be aware that the process that these music players use to copy sound files clips off many of the frequencies that PowerNap uses; for example all the sound below 20Hz and all the sound above 20KHz. The original PowerNap recordings range in size from 220MB to 750MB. The reason they are so large is that there is a LOT of information in the track that is used to get your brain to sync up with the recording. When you transfer the file to an .MP3 or iPod player, the encoding process literally removes some of the frequencies that make PowerNap powerful, and can leave you with a recording that is less effective than the original. For best results with iPod, set your import settings to AIFF Encoder with 44,100Hz, 16 Bit and Stereo. For the most powerful results, use the recording with good quality headphones with good Bass response and a good CD player, and listen to the original CD.
